Amanda Turner APA Sports Physiotherapist (Operating out of Harbour St Sports Physiotherapy)
Amanda graduated from the University of Sydney in 1992, and is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of Sports Injures. Amanda has a special interest in groin pain and injury. Amanda has worked in private multidisciplinary clinics, treating athletes participating in Rugby Union, and other sports over the past 10 years. Amanda spent three years in London as full time Physiotherapist for “Harlequins”, a professional Rugby Union side.
After returning to Sydney she worked at the Sports Clinic at Sydney University, and was been involved with Sydney University Rugby Union, for 3 years.
Amanda completed her Masters of Health Science in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney in 2002 and achieved her APA Sports Physiotherapist Title in 2003.
Amanda has a Private Practice, Harbour St Sports Physiotherapy in Mosman, where she was the Head Physiotherapist for the Northern Suburbs Rugby Union side for 3 years. She treats many recreational and elite athletes. Amanda lectures at the University of Sydney in the area of groin pain and hip pain. Amanda is involved in a Groin Research Group study at the University of Sydney called “Predictors of Groin Pain across Four Football Codes”.
Amanda has a special interest in the diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of patients with groin pain and works frequently with Dr John Garvey, a Groin Surgeon.
Amanda also has extensive experience in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with sports injuries to all areas of the body.
